The facelift for the upper mid-size sedan is on its way and is scheduled to arrive in Germany from July 2025. The electric G80 now offers a range of up to 570 km and even more comfort.
The Korean luxury competitor to the Mercedes E-Class or the BMW 5 Series will get a facelift from July 2025, with highlights including a revised design, a new battery and a longer wheelbase.

With the facelift, Genesis is making its next attempt to assert itself in the tough environment of premium brands in Germany. The revised electric G80 will be available from July 2025.
Genesis Electrified G80 Facelift 2025 – New Exterior Design and Larger Battery
The typical G-Matrix grille from Genesis will be retained even after the facelift. However, there are a few minor changes to the bumper and headlights. The light units are now equipped with Multi-Lens Array (MLA) technology, which is not only intended to produce better lighting conditions, but also to show character with an eye-catching design. The 19-inch rims have also been revised so that there is a more modern look. The Electrified G80 also grows slightly in length to extend the wheelbase by 130 mm and thus create more comfort in the rear.
Otherwise, the design has remained unchanged and the second main change is on the battery. There is now a larger 94.5 kWh battery, which thus surpasses the previous 87.2 kWh battery. Now 570 km instead of 520 km according to WLTP are possible, so you don't have to go to the charging station quite as often for longer distances. Charging is likely to be unchanged at approx. 190 kW, and Genesis puts the charging time from 10 to 80% at 25 minutes. The Electrified G80 also gets a new paint finish (Geneva Silver) to choose from, so that a total of 14 exterior colors are possible.

Genesis Electrified G80 Facelift 2025 – More equipment and new display
There are also a few adjustments and further developments in the design of the interior. For example, there is a new common 27-inch OLED screen for the infotainment and digital instruments, which aligns the cockpit with a more modern design.
The steering wheel and center console have also been revised to create a more coherent interior. In the interior, there is also a new color to choose from: Prussian Blue with Obsidian Black. The facelift also brings a few new features and features to the Electrified G80, such as a heating function on the charging port, so that charging can be done without any problems even in cold environments. There is now also lighting for the plug and the flap now opens electrically.

Genesis Electrified G80 Facelift 2025 – Sales Start and Price
Genesis has not yet given a figure for prices. Previously, the electric G80 was available from €73,580. We expect a price increase for the facelift, which should then be available in Germany from July 2025.
